Repurposed Wood Block Apron Hook / Coat Hook / Towel Hook

Add together a vintage wood trim corner block and a simple black metal hook, and what do you get? A great place to hang your favorite apron!

Measuring about 5 inches wide by 11 inches long, the pine block would have been placed at the top corner of a window or door in and early 1900s-era house. The original finish still is on the block. It is missing in some places on the edges because that is where the block set up against the rest of the trim. You can see on the back the nail marks where the block was pulled from the wall. There also are a few paint splatters and some chipped finish.

The metal hook and back hanger were added and marks are left from that endeavor. It doesn't look the best, but oh well, you don't see the back when the blocks are hanging on the wall! Just consider that factor before purchase.
