The second most viewed section of my shop is the Plus Size Collection. Currently, there are seven listings in this section, plus other aprons in the classic collection that will work for plus size women. As someone who formerly wore plus-size clothing, providing something special for them is important to me.

At nearly every show where showing my aprons, someone will come by and say "You probably don't have anything that will fit me." It is with great pleasure to answer these plus-size women with "Yes, I do!" They seem very surprised, and after a little coaxing, they will usually try an apron that interests them.

Their hesitation in wanting to try on an apron is understandable -- it is difficult to find clothes to fit when you are a larger size. Sometimes even more frustrating than finding the right size and fit is finding a pretty fabric. Some fabrics for plus size clothing are so hideous you wonder where they found them. I work really hard to find nicely-designed fabrics to make plus size aprons. Another factor is cost; I try to price them the same as the regular-sized categories.

The plus-size clothing market is expected to be a $24 million industry by the year 2020, up 20 percent from 2015. More and more companies are producing plus-size clothing as the size of the average American woman increases. TheUpcycledApron will continue to meet these needs so everyone can wear something pretty!
