Sweet Clover Apron From Vintage Feed Sack

This apron is made from an unmarked brand feed bag with the words indicating it held sweet clover seed.

This apron fabric is very nice and has a linen feel to it, so perhaps the fabric could be a European grain sack. It also is a lighter color than most old feed bags. One repair has been made but there are several area where there are loose threads and holes could develop over time or with frequent washings. The blue stripe on the bag led to the use of a lightweight ticking-design strapping fabric for the ties.

The apron waist is 36 inches.
The length is 37 inches.

Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
