Eshelman Duck Feed Sack Apron Fits Sizes M-L-XL

Every wonder what ingredients go into duck feed? The vintage feed sack used for this apron will tell you!

The ingredient list is below the Eshelman's Red Rose logo. The duck grower and breeder pelleted feed contained everything from soybean oil meal to fish meal, plus vitamins and a number of other things good for ducks. Vintage flour sack fabric in blue and red creates the apron sides. The apron is trimmed in blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the single neck tie where desired.

A flour sack patch was added to the bodice top to cover an extra dark area (photo three). A repair patch was made in the middle of the ingredient list (photo seven). There are a few places where the threads are loose and a hole could develop eventually. There are general marks and spots as are typical of a sack its' age. Please consider all of these factors before purchase.

The apron bodice is 11 inches.
The waist is 31 inches.
The length is 35 inches from the top center to the hemline.
The ties are each 30 inches
This apron best fits sizes medium, large or extra large.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.

The history of Eshelman feeds can be traced back to 1842 when John Eshelman started selling grist mil products in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as stated on the family’s website. The company also made their own feed bags. The Red Rose name was added in 1921. Additional mills were added and the company began selling overseas. Cotton bags were made until the 1960s. The company sold in 1974.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
