Potatoes were once held in this vintage sack from Ellsworth Brothers of Arizona.
A shape of the state is the main design, with the words L(Ell) 4(Four) inside. "U.S. Number 1" is above the logo, then below are the words "Arizona Potatoes Grown and Packed by Ellsworth Bros. Queen Creek, Ariz. U.S.A. 100 Lbs. Net Wt." The letter and number L4 appear around the entire design. The apron is trimmed in blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the single neck tie where desired.
The potato sack used for this apron is unusual because it is made from cotton fabric instead of burlap. Even though it has been machine washed, the fabric still looks somewhat dirty. There are darker spots all over the bag. A patch was used to cover two holes (last photo). Please consider all of these factors before purchase.
The apron bodice is 12 inches.
The waist is 29 inches.
The length is 31 inches from the top center to the hemline.
The ties are each 30 inches
This apron best fits sizes medium, large or extra large.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
