Let's start with the basics -- corn gluten meal is a corn milling byproduct used for cattle feed. The vintage bag used for this apron once held this product and is from Diamond brand, with the illustrations on the bag reflecting the name.
A large red diamond shape is noticed first, then smaller blue diamond shapes are in a vertical line down the apron front. The words are in blue and read, from top to bottom:

The apron is trimmed in red. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the single neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
The apron does have a few issues, including general stains as are typical of this age of sack. There are quite a few splattered spots on the front as shown in the front. There are no patches, however. Please consider all of these factors before purchase.
The bodice width is 12 1/2 inches.
The waist is 34 inches.
The length is 34 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 30 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes XL, 1X -or 2X.
The Corn Products Refining Company was founded on February 7, 1906 by E.T. Bedford in New York City, New York following a consolidation of the New York Glucose Company, Corn Products Company and Warner Sugar Refining Company. Its' industry is sweeteners, starches and ingredients, and the headquarters, were in New York City, New York (1902-1967), Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey (1967-1997) and Chicago (Westchester), Illinois (1997). In 1959, the company merged with Best Foods, Inc. In 1997, the company spun off its' corn refining business, retaining the Corn Products International name, while the remainder of the business was renamed Bestfoods.
* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
