Willhite Seeds Sack Apron Fits Size L - XL - 1X

Melon seeds are the product of Willhite Seeds of Texas, and this vintage sack from the company makes a great apron.

The Willhite Seeds lettering is in red and blue. Underneath you can see a watermelon, pumpkin and other melons in the colors of green, pink and orange. Underneath are the words "Good Pure Seed From Grower To Grower." Then there is a blue box with beige lettering reading:

The design is quite faded. The apron is very clean overall, but there is a spot on the bodice as shown in the last photo. Please consider these factors before purchase.

The bodice width is 11 1/2 inches.
The waist is 28 1/2 inches.
The length is 32 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 30 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes large, extra large or 1X.

The apron is trimmed blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking. Because the design is so faded already, you will have to be careful to follow these directions as additional fading is likely.

Willhite Melon Seed Farms is a division of Coffey Seed Company of Poolville, Texas. According to the company website, T.A. Willhite began growing melons in the 1900s around Poolville. He sold a few melons in 1904 and 77 pounds of seed, beginning the seed farm. After his death, daughter Clara Lee Willhite took over in the 1940s. Upon her death, two of the her employees, Vaughn Nader and Gene Hodges, took over. They later sold the business to Dr. Lee C. Coffey in 1969. In 1994, the company was renamed Willhite Seed Inc. Dr. Coffey’s daughter Robyn is now president.
