Bunck Hybrids Seed Sack Apron Fits Sizes XS - S

Sorry, this item has sold.

A sunflower design created from seed corn kernels is the focus of the logo on the vintage sack used for this apron.

"Bunck Hybrids" is printed in black across the design in orange and gold. Other corn kernels are scattered across the design. Underneath are the words "Henry and John Bunck, Everest, Kansas." To the sides running vertically are the words "Bunck Hybrids." Orange stripes run across the bodice top.

Finishing out the apron are two rows of different vintage laces along the hemline. The original stitching holes can still be seen along the bottom. The apron is trimmed in orange. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.

The apron does have a few issues, including general stains as are typical of this age of sack, as well as some darker spots near the apron bottom (last photo). One patch was made on the bodice top. There are several area where the threads are loose and they likely will develop into holes with frequent washing. Please consider all of these factors before purchase.

The bodice width is 11 inches.
The waist is 20 inches.
The length is 34 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 30 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes extra small or small.

The Bunck family own and operate Bunck Seed Farms, a 3,500 acre family wheat and certified seed business near Everest, Kansas. Founded by John (now deceased) and Betty Bunck, sons Tom, Joe and Robert, currently are involved in the company. Betty is a member of the Kansas Crop Improvement Association, the Kansas Seed Industry Association, Kansas Corn Growers, Kansas Soybean Association, and is an AgriPro Seeds Inc. Wheat Associate. In 1982, the Buncks were awarded the Kansas Master Farmer / Homemaker award.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
