An artistic reprise of a vintage flour sack is the design on the fabric chosen for this apron.
"Baker's Best" is the supposed brand of flour from Wamsutta Mills of Greenlawn, Wisconsin, also a fictional place. The design shows the words "Best Flour XXXX" inside a circle with a sort of flower petal design around it. Wheat is extending from the circle. Colors used are red, green and gold.
Underneath it reads:
Baker's Best
Milled From Choice Grains
Wamsutta MIlls
Greenlawn, Wisconsin
50 lbs
The fabric an oversized tea towel when found. Part of the top and bottom had to be cut off to make the apron shape and make it a reasonable size. Vintage fabric in red with white dots was used to create the apron sides. The apron is trimmed red. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
The bodice width is 11 inches.
The waist is 29 inches.
The length is 33 1/2 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 30 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes medium, large or extra large.
