Blue Bird Flour Sack Apron Fits Sizes XS-S-M / Petite Apron

Sorry, this item has sold.

A new but faded flour sack was chosen to create this apron showing off the Blue Bird Flour company.

The logo shows a blue bird resting on a wheat stack in a field. Barns and a Dutch-style windmill are shown the background. With the words Blue Bird above and the word Flour below. Then the apron reads:
Enriched
Bleached
Net Wt. 25 Lbs. 11.3 Kg.
Cortez Milling Co., Inc.
Cortez, Colo. 81321
Blue Bird
Enriched

A small part of the nutrition listing still shows on the apron back. Vintage blue and white striped fabric was chosen to extend the apron length and is placed at both the top and bottom. White eyelet lace is above the bottom section of fabric. The apron was trimmed in blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot where desired in the neck tie. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent further fading or shrinking.

This apron was designed for the petite person with a fuller bust.

The apron bodice is 12 inches.
The waist is 22 inches.
The length is 33 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 29 inches.
This petite-design apron best fits sizes extra small, small or medium.

According to newspaper websites, the flour is the preferred product to make fry bread by members of the Native American Hopi and Navajo tribes in the Southwest. Cortez Milling is the producer of the flour. The brand was created in the 1930s, but Cortez Milling Company started in 1965.
