Federal Reserve Bank Vintage Cash Sack Apron Fits Sizes XS-S-M

Paper money was once contained in the vintage cotton sack used to create this apron.

Along one edge, you can still see part of the logo from the company that made the sack.

The apron is trimmed in black. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking. Warm or hot water will fade or even remove the design and wording.

The apron does have a few issues, including general stains as are typical of this age of sack, as well as some darker spots here and there. Even though the sack was washed before sewing construction, several dirt marks remain near the apron bottom (see last two photos). Also, the apron will have to be ironed as the cotton fabric wrinkles easily. Please consider all of these factors before purchase.

The bodice width is 11 1/2 inches.
The waist is 26 1/2 inches.
The length is 32 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 32 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes extra small, small or medium. Please use measurements to determine sizing for men.

My feed sack aprons are definitely made for use! Double stitching and extra back stitching helps assure their strength. Some are bought for decoration, but most get used. About 60 of these aprons are sold every year at craft shows, many to repeat customers. I always ask how the aprons are holding up, and everyone seems pleased. These old sacks had to be sturdy as they often were used more than once. As explained in the description provided, the sacks have been machine washed and dried and repairs are made if needed before sewing construction. You just have to use cold water wash and line dry to help prevent fading and shrinking.
