Four-Pocket Feed Sack Half Apron

What will you use this apron for -- gathering eggs or garden produce, for wear as a server apron or as a craft booth vendor? For your time as a sales clerk in an antique store? For home sewing or crafts? In the kitchen?

All of these options are possible with this apron made from a vintage beige feed or seed sack. The single sack has been folded up from the bottom to create the pocket areas. There are numbers in black ink that were long ago stamped onto the sack. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to keep that ink from fading.

The ties are created from 1/2-inch wide cotton twill tape. They are extra long so you can bring them back to the front, as shown in the first photo. The model is size medium, so the waist shows as a little gathered -- a larger size waist will smooth out the apron waistline.
