Royal Quality Seeds Sack Apron / Apron for Women Size XS-M / Petite Apron

Sorry, this item has sold.

Royal Quality Superfine Selection Seeds was the product contained in the vintage sack used for this cute little apron that is highly suitable for petites. The company that produced the seed has historical ties to Kansas City, which makes it ideal for any Royals baseball team fan!

The beige background hosts the lettering in a nice royal blue color. The word "Royal" is written in cursive, "quality" is in a different cursive, and "superfine selection" is in italic print. "Seeds" is reverse printed in beige on a royal blue rectangle. Above this section is stencil-type lettering in black. It reads:
CM. 1923.
MADRIDSWT.CLU.

The bottom lettering is plain type and says "Rudy-Patrick Seed Co." This company had buildings in the current West Bottoms area of Kansas City, Missouri, with a branch in Paola, Kansas. The company was incorporated in 1916 and offered farm and garden seeds. The following information is from the "Central Industrial District Survey Final Report, Kansas City, Missouri 1988", prepared by Melanie A. Betz for the Kansas City, Missouri, Landmarks Commission:

"RUDY PATRICK SEED COMPANY, 1200 W. 8th St. (constructed 1916; 1926 company took over bldg.) The Rudy Patrick Seed Company processed various grass seeds including alfalfa, clover, blue grass, and timothy. The company had three locations in the Central Industrial District."

The top and bottom of the apron are the original finished edges of the seed sack. The side seams have been turned under to prevent fraying. Vintage royal blue trim was used for the edging and ties. To adjust the length, simply put a knot in the neck ties where desired. There are a few stains on the apron due to its' vintage quality, but overall it is in very good shape.

The apron waist is 22 inches.
The length is 29 inches from the top center of the apron to the hemline.
The ties are 27 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes extra small to medium. It is ideal for petites.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent further fading.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, there may be age marks that are not described due to the vintage quality. Also, finding some or many seeds caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seeds have already been removed, but a few or several may remain.
