De Kalb Seed Sack Apron for Women Fits Sizes XS to M

A vintage plaid fabric in black and tan marks the top and bottom of this apron created mainly from a vintage De Kalb seed sack.

The top of the sack has the seed's variety and size number listed. Below this is a box with the words inside:
De Kalb Quality Hybrid
Will Be Your
Mortgage Lifter

A rectangle shape area below this is black with this in reverse print "De Kalb Quality Hybrids." Below that are the words "Produce and Distributed By" and then further down "General Office DeKalb, Illinois."

There probably were other words or logos on the sack at one time that are now faded. Black trim has been used for the neck and waist ties. The seams were turned under to help prevent fraying (photo eight). Two holes in the sack have been repaired (photos nine and ten).

The apron waist is 23 inches.
The length is 37 inches.
The bodice is 13 inches.
The ties are 30 inches.
This one-of-a-kind apron best fits sizes extra small to medium.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck ties where desired.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
