Supercentrate from Foxbilt Feeds, a livestock feed additive, was once contained in the sack that was used to create this apron. The beige bag uses red and blue to create the design.
The word "Supercentrate" is in large letters at an angle. It is in blue letters on a red background. Below that is the "Foxbilt Feeds" logo using a circle and ribbon design. Underneath the logo it reads:
Famed for Results
A Basic Balancer
Home Grown Grains
Des Moines, Iowa
What makes this apron unusual is the fabric. The sack was made from a cotton that looks and feels like wool. It actually seems like it would have been a blanket instead of a sack.
Stripes add to the bag design. The side seams have been turned under to help prevent fraying. Blue trim is used for the neck and waist ties. Two patches were used to repair holes. There are pulls in the fabrics and some stains. The top and bottom of the apron were hemmed to provide extra support.
The apron waist is 29 inches.
The length is 36 inches.
The bodice is 15 inches.
The ties are 30 inches.
This one-of-a-kind apron best fits sizes extra large or 1X. Please use measurements to determine if it would fit a larger size.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck ties where desired.
* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
