"Green Label Certified Ranger Alfalfa" is how the front of this very cool apron reads. I love the faded green color of the design on the beige background. Somehow I think a bolder green would be too much, while the faded color has the look of a comfortable piece of clothing.
The logo is very nicely designed, with the logo looking like a sort of medallion or top of a prize-winning ribbon. The front also reads "Funk Bros. Bloomington, Ill." The original string marks from the sack can still be seen along the hem.
The fabric is a nice heavy cotton. There are some pulls in the fabric (see photo six), but no holes. There are some dark spots here and there on the sack (one larger on the top portion), but I can assure you the fabric was washed and dried before construction.
The apron waist is 25 inches.
The length is 31 inches. This apron is quite short.
The bodice is 12 1/2 inches.
The ties are 29 inches.
This one-of-a-kind apron best fits sizes extra small to medium.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck ties where desired.
* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, there may be age marks that are not described due to the vintage quality. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
