Apron From Vintage Kitchen King Flour Sack Fits Women Sizes M to XL

A torn vintage flour sack left only parts that could be rescued and used to create this apron. Vintage fabric creates the actual apron (the fabric design is that of red flowers with green leaves on a beige background) with the sack parts cut apart and sewn on the fabric.

The top piece reads: 24 Lbs. Net Weight Kitchen King Flour Bleached. This section actually came from the sack bottom with the stitching marks still showing.

The middle section has the company logo featuring upside down red and yellow triangles with the words Kitchen King inside the triangle. Above this design are the words "24 Lbs. Bleached Quality Fully Guaranteed." Below the triangle is an oval shape in red with beige lettering with the word "Flour." The word "Distributors" is below the oval. Pictures of baked goods including a cake, muffins and bread add to the design.

The third piece at the bottom of the apron shows the logo for the Kansas City Chase Bag Co., makers of the sack.

There were two holes in the sack remnant that had to be repaired, as shown in the last photo.

The apron waist is 29 inches.
The length is 36 inches.
The bodice is 12 1/2 inches.
The ties are 27 inches.
This one-of-a-kind apron best fits sizes medium large or extra large.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.
To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck ties where desired.
